It's very crowded over the weekends. The parking is always free of cost but when it's crowded you might not get a spot.
The prices have gone up since the strike, but overall the store has low prices and an excellent variety of items that you cannot find in other conventional supermarkets.

Good prices, fresh meat and produce, good variety. Staff very efficient, most of the time. I went in once with my arm in a sling, and the person bagging came and unloaded my cart, and took my groceries to the car and loaded them into my car, without being asked. Weekends are super crowded, so best to go midweek.
The employees are very helpful in directing me to where items are that I am unable to locate. The cashier by the name of Chris who has worked at Market Basket for many years is very friendly. He loves animals and will regale you with stories of his cat. All of the other cashiers and baggers always have a smile when I'm checking out.
Best donuts in the area, plus you can't beat demoula's prices or quality workforce.
Lots of products you can't find at other supermarkets. Layout of the store makes it cramped and crowded no matter how few people are there. Displays & aisles are set up so only a single cart can comfortably pass through at a time. Lots of staff that speak Spanish and Portuguese.
